2. Research themes

  • Microbial ecotoxicology. Studies the abundance, activity and diversity of the microbial communities in receiving water environment under anthropogenic disturbance.
  • Interactions between microorganisms and micropollutants. Understanding the mechanisms of biotransformation and biodegradation of micropollutants
  • New technology for disinfection of WWTP effluents using performic acid. Study of the effectiveness of disinfection by performic acid microbial ecotoxicology of the receiving water ecosystem.
